Do you offer specialized cleaning services for seniors?

Yes, we provide compassionate and tailored cleaning services designed specifically for seniors. Our team is trained to address the unique needs of older adults, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.

Can family members coordinate services on behalf of their elderly relatives?

Yes, we often work closely with family members or caregivers to schedule and customize cleaning services that best suit the needs of their loved ones.

Do you only offer services to seniors?

While our company mission is tailored towards seniors and vulnerable persons, we welcome all customers to use our services.

Can I expect the same housekeeper each time?

Although we strive to keep you with a housekeeper you are familiar with, we can't guarantee that it'll be the same person each time. However, we are confident you'll receive the same level of service no matter who comes.

What happens if my assigned cleaner gets sick or is unable to attend my scheduled visit?

That's a great question. We understand the importance of reliability. If your regular cleaner is ever unavailable, here is our process:

1. To maintain your original schedule, our first step is to send another trusted, fully-vetted member of our team to care for your home at the confirmed date and time.

2. If your appointment time must be changed, we will contact you directly to find a new time that is convenient for you.

Our commitment is to provide the high-quality service you expect with as little disruption to your schedule as possible.

What is the frequency of service?

Most clients book biweekly services with us. We offer weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, and even one-time service that suits your need.

How do I schedule a cleaning service or modify an existing booking?

You can schedule a service by calling us directly at (780) 784-7531, emailing us at info@homekeeperscleaning.ca, or through our website's contact form. Please keep in mind that we ask for at least 48 hours notice for any scheduling changes or cancellations.

Can I get a reminder for my upcoming cleaning visit?

Yes, absolutely! We offer automated reminders by SMS, email, and phone. Please contact us to request a reminder method.

What if I'm not satisfied with the cleaning service?

Customer satisfaction is our top priority. If you're not completely satisfied, please contact us within 24 hours, and we'll address any concerns promptly.

What is the minimum visit length for home cleaning?

Our minimum bill rate for cleaning services is 2 hours. If you would like laundry assistance as well during your visit, we would encourage at least 3 hours for the visit.

Do I need to be home during the cleaning service?

It's up to you. Many clients prefer to be present, while others provide access instructions for our team. We respect your privacy and will follow any specific guidelines you provide.

Do I need to do anything before the cleaners arrive?

We recommend tidying up personal items and securing valuables. This allows our team to clean more efficiently and thoroughly.

Do you bring cleaning supplies?

If you purchase our full service package, we bring all cleaning supplies, vacuums and mop. If you prefer, you are more than welcome to provide your own select supplies for us to use.Clients that only receive basic or general housekeeping services are expected to provide your own supplies a, vacuum, and mop.

What if my home is quite messy?

Our goal is to get your home to a level where subsequent visits are maintenance visits. This may mean longer or more frequent initial visits until your home is up to snuff.

Are your cleaners comfortable working around pets?

Yes, many of our team members are pet lovers! We ask that you please inform us about your pets during the booking so we can make appropriate arrangements.

Do you do deep cleaning?

We certainly offer deep cleaning service, however deep cleaning is not included in every visit. Our housekeepers will work with you to figure out a plan to tackle areas like appliances, cabinetry, light fixtures, windows, and baseboards while tackling areas of the home you use the most.

Do you provide other services?

Absolutely! Home Keepers Cleaning has the advantage of being part of Compassion Network, an experienced provider of senior home services and home health care services. This means we have the knowledge and expertise in providing additional services.

Existing cleaning clients can make special requests for the following services from Home Keepers:
- Companionship
- Accompaniment on outings (e.g. medical, social, recreational)
- Shopping and errands
- Organizing, packing, and light decluttering

Billing

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept most major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX) and pre-authorized debits from your bank account.

How often am I billed?

Our billing is completed and you are charged the next business day after your cleaning is completed.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

We require 48 hours notice of any cancellations or rescheduling, otherwise a cancellation charge of 100% will apply.

How are your cleaning services priced?

Our pricing is based on the number of hours it will require to complete the cleaning service requested. This may be based on the size of your home, the type of cleaning service requested, the frequency of service, and other tasks requested. We provide free estimates over the phone.

Are there any discounts for seniors?

Our prices already reflect seniors pricing, oftentimes below market rate.

Are there any subsidies for seniors?

As a low income senior in Alberta, you may be eligible for Special Needs Assistance to cover your housekeeping cost. We can assist in submitting receipts directly to Alberta Seniors.

Can I pay for my parents' services?

Absolutely. You can be added as the billing contact and payor for any service even if you aren't the one receiving it.

Are you bonded and insured?

Yes, Home Keepers is bonded and insured as a division of The Compassion Network Inc.

How are your cleaners vetted?

All our cleaning professionals are thoroughly background-checked including a police information check with vulnerable sector search. Our cleaners must undergo a screening process include mandatory reference checks prior to joining our team. All team members are orientated and trained to ensure the highest level of trust and quality service.

Do I have to be a senior to purchase your services?

You do not need to be a senior to purchase our services. We provide service for people of all ages. Our services are most tailored to seniors and those most vulnerable.

What locations do you service?

Home Keepers currently provides service in the City of Edmonton. We also service surrounding communities including St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Parkland County, Strathcona County, and Beaumont. However, a travel fee may apply for these locations.
